Straight edge -- preferably metal
Matte knife -- retractable
Masking tape -- drafting & painters tape are also okay
Packing tape -- brown, clear or filament
Extra cardboard -- corrugated
Thin foam -- optional
Cardboard box -- Choose a corrugated cardboard box that is close in size to your wrapped paintings.
When packing fragile, three-dimensional work it is particularly important to pay attention to the packing materials. You will want to create a box for the object to sit within.
Packing The Artwork:
Wrap the piece in plastic to protect it from the elements. Line a box with Styrofoam to protect the work. Place another piece over the top.
